If you’ve been a loyal reader of my old blog you might have noticed some changes to the old site last year as I was experimenting with some new formats. Changing websites and blogs all while actively shooting is quite demanding on time and as such my old blog suffered a bit of inactivity. I’m still not out of the woods yet as updating my new portfolio site as well as this new blog is a huge time suck but it is a labor of love. The changes come from wanting better platforms to showcase the work and I really want to share more of it with you guys!
With that said 2014 was a year of change for me. I found I didn’t want to create cookie cutter images and really strived to create not only stunning imagery for my clients but truly meaningful images as well. I traveled to San Francisco, Maui, and New York for weddings, and of course covered my local area in Southern California shooting everywhere from backyards to resorts. The truth is it didn’t matter where the weddings were. It was the story that mattered, and documenting that for each and every one of my couples is still the privilege and honor that keeps me going with every click of the shutter! Here are some of my favorite images from 2014.
